Privacy Policy

1. Information the app uses

You provide information to power the app's features, and the app generates results from it. All of it is stored only on your device. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location, and it does not collect any device identifiers for tracking.

• Career profile you enter during onboarding: your skills, years of experience, education level, target job title, industry, company size, work location, remote-work preference, and number of certifications. This single profile personalizes salary prediction, job recommendations, and interview practice.
• Salary predictions: the estimated salary range produced on-device, saved to your local history along with the profile snapshot used.
• Interview practice data: the practice questions, the transcribed text of your answers, the AI feedback (strengths and improvements), and voice-delivery metrics such as words per minute, filler-word counts, and answer duration. Only the transcript text is saved — never an audio recording.
• Learning progress and gamification: your practice-path progress, drill scores, XP, and streaks — all recomputed and stored locally.
• App preferences: small settings such as your chosen interviewer voice, session language, and translation language.

2. Microphone and speech recognition

The interview practice feature can use your microphone so you can answer out loud. With your permission, your speech is transcribed to text on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. This is used only during an interview session.

• Your audio is processed live and is never saved to a file. The app keeps only the resulting transcript text so it can give you feedback.
• Your voice and transcripts are never uploaded to us or to any server.
• The app requests microphone and speech-recognition access only when you start a voice interview, and you can change or revoke these permissions anytime in the iOS Settings app.
• Apple may download on-device speech models the first time you use a language; this is handled by iOS and carries none of your personal data.

3. On-device AI processing

Every intelligent feature runs on your device. No data is sent to a server for AI processing.

• Salary prediction and job matching use Core ML models bundled inside the app, running locally.
• Interview questions, answer scoring, feedback, and career insights are generated on-device with Apple Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence), available on iOS 26.
• Speech-to-text and text-to-speech (reading questions aloud) use Apple's on-device speech frameworks.
• One-tap translation of AI text uses Apple's on-device Translation framework.

4. How your data is stored

• All of your data is stored locally on your device in the app's on-device database.
• FresherAI does not operate any backend server and never receives a copy of your data.
• The app does not sync your data to iCloud or any cloud service, so your data stays on the single device where you entered it.
• There are no accounts, so your data is not linked to any online identity.

5. What we do not do

• We do not require an account or sign-up.
• We do not run analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs, and we do not use App Tracking Transparency because we track nothing.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with data brokers or advertisers.
• We do not send your profile, salary predictions, interview answers, or voice to any FresherAI server — there is none.

6. Data sharing

Because there is no FresherAI server and no analytics, we do not receive or share your data with anyone. Data is processed only on your device by the Apple frameworks built into iOS, under Apple's own privacy protections. We do not integrate any third-party services.

7. Your controls and choices

• You control the microphone and speech-recognition permissions and can change or revoke them anytime in the iOS Settings app.
• You can edit your profile at any time in the app.
• You can delete individual salary predictions and interview sessions with a swipe in the History screen.
• Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.

8. Data retention and deletion

• Your data remains on your device for as long as you keep the app installed.
• You can delete individual records at any time from within the app.
• Because your data is stored only on your device and never on a server, deleting the app permanently removes all of it. There is nothing for us to delete on our side.

9. Security

Your data benefits from the security of the Apple platform and on-device storage. Because we never receive your data, there is no central database of user information that could be breached.

10. Children's privacy

FresherAI is intended for job seekers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Because the app has no server and stores everything only on the user's own device, any information stays on that device.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
